R.S. van Onkelen is one of the founders of 4Abstracts and her parts. He works in the UMCG at the Department of Surgery.
J.A. Lafranca is founder of 4Abstracts and her parts. He is also responsible for the website and technical logistics. He has a PhD in Transplant Surgery and an MSc in Healthcare Management. He works as Chief Operational Officer at GeriCall and is owner of PhoenixWeb Media
What is 4Abstracts?
Nowadays the number of articles published is high and it is hard to keep up with the increase of medical knowledge and innovations. However, we think that everyone in health care should be up to date. A team of young doctors and medical students thought of a way to facilitate this need and they proposed a free e-mail service that provides an overview of the leading medical journals specific to their field.
4Abstracts is a free e-mail service that provides a weekly overview of abstracts of original articles, trials and reviews from several scientific journals. This way busy clinicians will save time, they will be informed more easily and they may read articles they normally would have missed.
